John W. Boyd argues in NM Supreme Court on behalf of environmental organizations regarding regulation of coal fired power plant

On January 25, 2017, Freedman Boyd Hollander Goldberg Urias & Ward P.A. attorney John W. Boyd argued before the New Mexico Supreme Court in opposition to the Public Service Company’s of New Mexico proposed plans to replace electricity generated at coal-fired power plants. Boyd, representing the public interest group New Energy Economy, argued that the Public Regulation Commission approved a plan that relied too much on coal and nuclear power and that the utility failed to prove the cost-effectiveness of the plan.
