A teenager from Muleshoe was killed and two other teens were injured in a one-car accident on Curry Road 14 on Sunday night, May 16.
Seventeen-year-old Rustin Baldwin from Muleshoe was operating a 1998 Dodge pickup. The teen was going east when they crashed into a pipe fence, according to a news release from Curry County Sheriff Wesley Waller.
Baldwin was killed at the scene. Two seventeen-year-olds who were in the car were injured and taken to Plains Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The car accident on Curry Road 14 occurred about 11:15 p.m. near the junction with NM 77. According to the sheriff, the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
One-vehicle accidents might appear not so complicated, but the truth is there could be many factors that contribute to the accident. Speeding, alcohol, texting, road debris and hazards, animals on road, all of these could be just one of the many reasons.
In accidents like this one, it’s important to talk to an attorney even if things seem clear. If you were injured in an accident while someone else was driving, you can seek a compensation claim from their insurance.
This claim doesn’t mean that you have something against them, but you simply need the money to cover your medical bills, lost wages and pain and suffering. This is why an attorney is a must in cases like these; they will advise you on what to do next and be there for you for everything.
