Santa Fe Deputy Injured in a High-Speed Chase

A man from Ojo Caliente is accused of causing a high-speed chase which left a Santa Fe deputy injured on Friday, November 13.

The New Mexico State Police deputies got a call around 1:20 p.m. about a stolen vehicle that was pulling a camper trailer near El Valle de Arroyo Seco. The deputies responded to the report and attempted to arrest twenty-four-year-old Jeffrey Martinez near White Street. The suspect managed to speed off, injuring the deputy with the camper, the police said.

Martinez was also wanted on warrants for aggravated DWI, breaking and entering, drug possession, child abuse, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, and obstructing a police officer.
