Two Dead After SW Albuquerque Rollover Crash, Homicide Inquiry Ongoing

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal SW Albuquerque rollover crash that ended with two deaths that has been since deemed as a double homicide.

The accident happened on Monday evening, April 19. Deputies got a call to 1932 Coors Blvd SW in front of Valley Fence Co. at about 6:20 p.m. The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office says deputies located two unidentifiable men on the scene who appeared to have died from gunshot wounds.

According to the sheriff’s office report, a white sedan had two to three male occupants and reports suggested that this white vehicle had opened fire on the crashed vehicle.

The sheriff’s office says that right before the police were called, the Albuquerque Police Department got calls in the area of 98th and Gibson of a white vehicle chasing and shooting at a dark-colored car.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office said that it isn’t clear if the SW Albuquerque rollover crash was a road rage incident.

After the accident, police closed the traffic in both directions on Coors Blvd. between Arenal Rd. and Huseman Pl. SW for several hours.

The sheriff’s office is now looking for witnesses and anyone who might have a video of the accident. If you have any information about the incident contact Detective Carroll at 505-263-5617 or by email at
