A woman was killed in a shooting in NE Albuquerque early on January 18. The Albuquerque Police Department reported that officers in the Southeast Area Command responded to a report of shooting in Rhode Island Street and Chico Road N.E area.
When the officers arrived at the scene, the second caller said that their friend was shot. The police located a woman with a visible gunshot wound. According to the authorities, the woman died at the scene.
An investigation into the shooting in NE Albuquerque was started by homicide detectives; they have been doing interviews and canvassed the area. So far, there is no information about an offender.
